She additionally ran a team for the second-most used government app (behind the NASA app), called Your Texas Benefits App.

She additionally managed two of Pearson's key innovation initiatives: a collaboration with IBM Watson on using AI to enhance learning and teaching experiences and a ground-up re-imagination of the technology platform that all Pearson software was built upon. She currently has an active patent-pending on a predictive experience she developed while working with their data analytics team.

Laura is an innovative and strategic product and user experience leader with extensive experience managing the life cycle of user-centered design projects from conceptualization to launch. Workshops are an area where Laura really shines. In the time of COVID-19, the need to stay safe has definitely required Laura to up her game with remote collaboration tools, but she has found the online workshops to be just as successful now that everyone has adapted to the expectations of this new reality.

Laura offers workshops for organizations wanting to do Lean Canvas, Design Sprints or Design Ideation Sessions. She helps companies with product prioritization activities (Value vs. Complexity, Kano Model, Dot Voting, etc.), Customer Journey Mapping, Persona Creation, Empathy Mapping, and has experience facilitating SAFe quarterly and portfolio level organization planning activities.

Through the 24 years of work and hundreds of products Laura has worked on, these are a few featured case studies which highlight challenges she has overcome, problems she has solved, and products that she is enormously proud of.

“Laura is a focused, passionate and driven Design Manager. Along with the many projects and programs that she managed her design teams across, she was also a committed leader in helping us grow and evolve the Experience Design practice at large, working to establish better processes, ways of working and creative culture. During her time with us, she was tasked with a couple of the more aggressive and challenging projects at the time, which caused her to navigate some turbulent waters, juggle many (and I stress many) stakeholders while keeping the design team focused and driving forward. ”
